Invitation to view trailer 2

Here is the second type of invitation we made. This one includes the mask of the villain on it.

Invitation to view trailer

This is the first type of invitation we made, showing the good character and/or the final girl.

Trailer viewing

We had a trailer viewing on Friday 12th February 2010. This was to show an audience our horror teaser trailer, magazine front cover, and horror film poster. We did this as we needed audience feedback of people who fit into our target audience. This was so that we could establish any improvements/changes or anything they liked in particular. We made invitations for our viewing and also questionnaires for the feedback.

Ancillary tasks completed

Alongside our main task of creating the horror teaser trailer, we had to accompany it with two ancillary tasks. These consisted of making a magazine front cover and and a horror poster of our film.

We decided to split our media group in half, with two people working on the poster and the other two working on the magazine cover. Me and Sarah decided to work on the film magazine cover together. We followed and challenged conventions we saw from other 'Total Film' magazine cover that we had looked at. Once we completed the magazine, we were very proud of it as we thought it looked quite professional.

The other two people in our group (Kinnerey and Nahed) worked on the horror film poster together. They did this successfully, as it looked really good. It used conventions from other horror film posters we had looked at, still fitting in perfectly with the theme of our film.

Video editing completed

We finally finished editing our teaser trailer, about one and a half weeks ago. We had a continuous upbeat tune, which was scary at the same time. This was alongside a series of bangs to create tension and make the piece scarier altogether. I think our trailer was 60 seconds long, which is just the perfect length for a teaser trailer. When our trailer was completed, we handed it in for it to be rendered and saved finally. Once that was done, our next tasks were our ancillary tasks. This had to be designing of a film magazine cover and a horror film poster of our movie.
